Zoning and planning is the establishing and enforcement of goals for land use development and future growth of a particular jurisdiction and/or its surrounding region. Planning establishes what would preferable sites for industrial, commercial, residential, and recreational uses. Zoning provides a mechanism by which those planning goals may be implemented and enforced. Further, it protects the rights and privileges of all the townships residents, and encourages sensible growth throughout the township.
The Township has adopted a comprehensive plan to guide future Township land use decisions. The Township has also adopted a zoning resolution per Chapter 519 of the Ohio Revised Code.
